Hi guys , can you believe we are in May already! we finally had a few nice days , i kinda made a start on the garden though didn't get too far as we have the dreaded Japanese knot weed all over, whoever had this place before really neglected house and garden , its gonner be a big job getting it sorted. but hey ho, we did what we could for now, and it kinda fits in with the theme of the new Visible Image Challenge this month we are challenge to
Brighten your day!
i thought it was a great theme as we are finally seeing some nice bright sunny days it also forced me to use bright colours :/ out of my comfort zone ladies lol
but here it is and I'm warning you it BRIGHT!
OK First thing i did was stamp the fob watches from the Time after Time stamp set, first the larger one 5 times then the smaller 5 times , and one more smaller in a different colour, the main ones being stamped in Hydrangea big and juicy in pad and the other in Foliage big and juicy, i then coloured the whole face in Shocking Pink , and the centre one in Aniseed flex markers. once i had cut them all out i sprayed lightly with a little water to break down the fibres of the card a little, and scrunched them to give a bit of shape, then arranged them ont a 1'' circle of card and glued, the centre one i covered in crackle glaze, and added a little bit of shimmer to the very edges of all the main petals.
Next i had cut some leaves and stamped with the cracked Glass stamp from the Time after Time set using the Foliage ink pad again , then coloured with lime green pro marker.
i edged a piece of paper in the Shocking pink, and a slightly smaller piece in the lime green, then i took a piece of the card and dropped water based inks onto it in shades of blue and a little green, then sprayed with water to blend, once dry i cut to size and layered it all up , finishing with a sentiment from the Stamps set.
like i say out of my comfort zone, but i think it works, and i hope it brightens your day :)
so head on over to the Visible Image Blog and see all the wonderful inspiration from the design team
then dig out you brights and get busy .
hug x
Ps, dont forget you must use a real stamp . doesnt have to be a visible Image stamp, (though we do love to see them :) ), but it must be a real stamp no digi's
thanks
