Visible Image, Enchanted Snowflakes & Winters Miracle stamps

hi guys, its me with my weekly Visible Image post...
yes i know its not Saturday lol, i swapped with my teamie sue, so she will be posting some loveliness on Saturday and you get me today :)

so this post i have used the New

i did the same ( almost) card in two colourways

first i went all traditional Christmas colours, its pretty and i love the green snowflake flower, but as i sat putting the finishing touches i saw it in my minds eye all white and silver and sparkly like a cold crisp winter day.

traditional

 Winter white,
i enjoyed making the snowflake flowers so much i made a few extra

these are just glitter where the green and silver ones are embossed

to make these i stamped the 3 smallest snowflakes from the set, onto quite thick tracing paper once stamped and embossed or glittered, i let dry then scrunched, layered and added a gem, the photo really doesn't do them justice, they are so christmassy

you can find the stamps here

and you lucky people there is a super selection of discounted stamps for a short time so be sure to have a look here

Hi guys, time for my weekly Visible Image DT post.
This week I'm bringing you some wonderful new stamp sets, one is a set of fabulous new
Enchanting Snowflakes Designed by Mark and the other is a beautiful verse written by Helen Called Winters Miracle .

This first card is a plain white base then stamped with clear embossing ink, and embossed with clear embossing powder,  next I used silver embossing powder, and finally I stamped the snowflakes
With a glue pad and sprinkled with glamour dust.
The verse was stamped and embossed on silver, cut put and matted on sticky pads.

this next one was once again a plain white base card which I again embossed the snowflakes in clear, next I used Broken China & Dusty Concord Distress inks and sponged them all over blending them together, I made a tag with the verse using the same method to colour it, then I used some beautiful purple sparkling ribbon to look like a wrapped parcel.

really beautiful stamp sets for your Christmas card making .

Both available now at Visible Image stamps

ps there is also a fantastic competition over on the fb page to win £20 worth of visible image stamps as well as the challenge over on the blog,  so get making and you could win yourself some lovely new stash.

the bat lanterns and the web are cut on my craft robo, the edges of the tag have been inked and the whole thing finished off with some black ribbon.

Visible Image and a Trio of Trees

hi guys a Visible Image post today and i have done a Trio of Trees using Winter Tree

these cards are so simple but very effective

this first one is simple the tree stamped on a white card, i then stamped randomly all over with the tiny snowflake from the snowflake background stamp which is sadly now discontinued, but is being replaced with the new Enchanting Snow flakes....

seriously how beautiful are they, cant wait to get hold of them and have a play!
anyway i digress lol back to the card ..... i used a glue pad, and sprinkled with glamour dust, then i drew some lines with glue and again used the glamour dust.

this second one is even simpler, but i love it, as you guys know I'm not a clean and simple kinda crafter lol, but i do really love it, i think it would make a nice sympathy card too as well as a winter celebration card

and finally a splash of colour! these really are my favourite shades, this back ground was made using a technic i saw in a magazine, must have been craft stamper because that the only one i buy lol.
its a tequnic using gesso, you spread it quite thick on a piece of card, then while still wet you lay another piece of card over the top , squish them together then pull apart , and there you have 2 pieces of lovely textured card, once dry you can colour with whichever medium you wish, i used watercolour crayons, just scribbled over , then went over with a fairly wet brush, once dry cut to size.

and there you have it a trio of trees, it might seem like a quite simple stamp but it is very versatile, you can do simple cards with it, or dress it up with tiny leaves or blossom, or even use it as an edging design on your cards, just let your imagination run with it.

I guys Delicious Doodles time :)
OK this weeks challenge theme is

Purple, Turquoise & Gold

cool colours huh?

I have used Angelique

I loved using these colours, and really enjoyed making this card

the base is just a plain white 8 x 8, and i matt this with some purple then gold and finally a turquoise pattern paper, over this i added some pretty lace and some pearl /bling trim i got from That Craft Place, i then made some flowers, using the My craft Studio click print go Christmas flowers, after they where cut i shaped, and added some flower spray stuff also from That Craft Place, and once layered up i sprayed with a gold shimmer spray. the main image was coloured with pro markers and then mounted onto gold then purple, and stuck down with sticky pads, to the gold flowers i added some purple and some blue roses i got from  Carol Byers, these are beautiful and great value for money.
i also used some more of the baby's breath flowers sprays which i think strangely give it a wintry feel.

anyway so that's my effort, now we want to see yours!

Monday 2 September 2013

morning my lovelies
i have a two for one for you today lol

2 fab challenges!!

first up is Glitter n sparkle with an anything goes challenge

this cute image is from Sassy studios
i chose a backing paper from My Craft studio of Balloons, i printed it twice, once normal and once faded, then layered them onto the card. i cut out a frame in black, and added to red card, coloured the image, cut and layers onto the framed matt, to finish i made some Micky balloons from some gems coloured black with pro marker, using one large and 2 small for ears, added cotton for string and a bow to finish.

the sponsors for this challenge are
Sassy Studios offering 4 digis
Fitztown offering 3 images
&
Crafty Sentiments offering 3 images

ok and onto number 2!

and the theme is Buttons

this image is from Sassy studios

isn't she a darling, i originally planed to colour her black and purple, but she somehow ended up in autumn colours lol, but i think they quite suit her
so i covered the inside of the card with the stripey paper, cut the front of the card in half and added the pattern paper, coloured and cut the image and matt onto a fancy shape, the added this to the front, leaving it hang over the edge quite a bit, i added a ribbon and bow, then some buttons, one as a centre to the bow, and the one in her hair with a tiny one added to the centre of it .

the sponsor for this challenge is
Sassy Studio Designs
offering 4 digis of your choice

so there you have it , 2 great challenges for you guys to play along with .

hugs x

Visible Image September Challenge

Oh My Days its September!
i honestly cannot believe we are so far into the year, but as its a new month that means we get a new challenge at Visible Image Stamps..and from this month on the prize has doubled to £20!!
we have a lovely theme too its Use a Sentiment

and following on from yesterdays post, i continued to play with The Sewing Room Set

taking my lead from the beautiful sentiment , i found a gorgeous paper in the prima pixie glen paper stack, this was already a patchwork of images, so i simply inked and stamped the edges in second gen fired brick distress ink so it wasn't too dark, i used my all time fave Grunge Swirl stamp all around the edge and then a bit in the square with the sentiment.
next i stamped all around each section with the stitch stamp in  dusty concord distress ink, i highlighted the word friends and the clock in glossy accents.
the branch is from the Edward is Immortal set. i cut the flowers and coloured with pro markers , cut out a few leaf shapes  and again coloured with pro markers.
i stamped the sentiment in dusty concord and finished off with a pic of me and my best friend Kim, which i printed out distressed the edges added the stitching and there you go, oh and a Little lace across the middle !

so now its over to you, remember you must use a Visible Image stamp.

pop on over to the Visible image blog for some inspiration and trust me the dt samples are stunning.
look forward to seeing all your wonderful work
hugs x
