hi guys second post for today and this one is for

Glitter & Sparkle
theme is
One for the Ladies
i have this beautiful image from
a Day for Daisies
called
Water Friends

isnt she pretty
i printed the image and coloured her with spectrum Noir pens, then to give the illusion of her being underwater i went over it with watercolour crayons in 3 shades of blue, then using a wide brush i went over with water to blend them .

i have put her on a plain white 6x6 card base, added some twisted ribbon again for the watery effect, and finished with 3 blue flat back gems.

im not usualy a clean and simple kinda girl as you know if you have seen much of my work , but im quite pleased with the effect.

come play along on the Challenge blog
you will find lots of inspiration from the lovely dt .

Hey guys
This is the first of two posts today
This one is for

I'm so privileged to be on this team for another term.
(Talk about nerve wracking reapplying and waiting to hear)
We have some fan new teamies joining and you can meet them all on the blog
They have done some stunning samples so don't be shy pop over to their blogs and say hi
Would be lovely if they could get some welcome blog love.
Ok so onto this new challenge
Theme
Shabby chic
I had fun with this one , this isn't my original idea so I cannot take credit for it I have used this template from the amazing  Terri @ Artful Affirmations , you can grab the template here

 Here is my effort

I cut the template out of card and covered inside and out with pretty papers , inking all the edges as I went, once the shoe was glued together I went to town with some scrumptious lace and bead trim.
I started with a lace flower cut from a wide cream lace panel, then I added the edging lace all around the front and back of the shoe.

Next was the ruffled lace & ribbon trim at the top front of the shoe, I put it inside the front edge then turned it around and added to the outside, to give the lovely double sided full ruffled look.
Then I moved onto adding the beaded trim &the bows.

The gem dangle (is that a word?) on the front is part of a earning from my broken/junk jewellery stash box, and to finish I added the hand made flower which I had cut from white card, sponges with Tattered Rose Distress ink the a touch of crystal Sticklers.

I hope you like it and maybe give it a go
We would love to see your shabby chic entries.

pretty isnt she, i have had these backing papers for ages and though it was about time i used them instead of just looking at them lol( you all know what i mean lol).
so once again some simple matt and layering, she was coloured with spectrum noir pens then fussy cut.i added a strip of ribbon and edged it with lace, then added the die cut flowers, and button centres, the butterfly  was fussy cut from the left over backing paper, and once again the card was finished ott with flat back gems.

hey lovely people, its time for a new challenge at
That Craft Place Challenge Blog
theme
Tag
nice and easy right , just make a tag, anything you fancy on a tag!

here's mine

ok so i got the idea for the background from my friend Sam , she put a fabulous tutorial on her blog showing the faux metal technique (here). i had a play and came up with this admittedly its not a patch on sam's but i had fun lol.
then out came my embellishment box full of metal or mdf keys ect all form That Craft Place, then it was just a case of painting some with Folk Art acrylic in berry wine, and . highlighting them with Creative Expressions Gilding wax in Cast Bronze and patina, the large bronze and fabric flower i put together myself.
the edges of the tag are sponged with the berry wine acrylic then everything was glued in place, to finish instead of ribbon i used a chain through the hole at the top.

you should pop over to the blog and see all the amazing dt inspiration then
get your tag on and play along .
