hello my lovelies
well i am so late posting this challenge post im going to call it a mid week reminder post LOL
im naughty i know, but in all honestly its a wonder im even posting , how can moving 2 rooms around and decorating turn your whole life upside down! its like moving house all over again, though i can see a little light at the end of this tunnel now .
so onto the post, the new challenge started over on
Glitter n Sparkle
on sunday,  and a theme i usually struggle with, (though not as much as white on white)
Black & white

i love this image and i'm relatively pleased with the finished card, though i think my skin could have been a tad better coloured

the image is from
Bugaboo and is called beautiful fairy

as you can see i kept it all quite simple, a bit of mat and layering and the image coloured with spectrum noir pens and pencils, then a bit of glitter and bling to finish it off

so the info you need is
sponsors

Stitchy Bear Stamps $10 gift Cert  ,
Bugaboo 7 images from their stor

ok so off you go get your makes in

hugs

oh and guess who won over at left of centre! yes me!

was a wonderful surprise thanks guys

hi guys another day another challenge :)
todays is for
and the theme is
gems and glitter
i have to confess i got it wrong with my make as pearls are not
technically a gem, and i totally forgot to  glitter the bubbles !!
but here it is anyway ,

my image is from
Arora Wings and its called Secret kisses

i started with an 8x8 canvas which i painted and then layered with tissue paper printed with coral reif images, and a grungy overlay, the edges are sponges in a mix of white black and purple lilac acrylic.
the image was printed and coloured in with spectrum noir pens and then pencils , once she was fussy cut and glued down i then added more seaweed printed fussy cut tissue paper which added depth.
the i added droplets of triple thick glaze to give the bubble effect and of course no mermaid should be without pearls, i finished off by adding tiny pearls to her hear with liquid pearls.
i know she doesn't quite fit the theme (sorry) but i kinda love how it came out .

so now over to you give it a go, but don't forget the gems and glitter LOL

hugs

hi guys
there is a new challenge at
That Craft Place

the theme is
Inspired by a film

I chose one of my faves

Hocus Pocus

i started with some tan colour card, which i made to look leather like using Sheena Douglas's technique you can find on you tube, i then ripped it, and sewed it back together , this is like the magic book in the film, i then printed out an eye and gradually raised it to eye shape using layers of  tripple thick gloss glaze. once the eye was dry i stuck it down and covered it with some more of the tan leathered card and slit it to look like eye lids  :/ sadly it doesn't show too well in the pic.
next i took the film strip added scenes from the film and printed it out, i printed the woeds in the bubbles, glazed and cut out, same with the cauldron .
the sanderson sisters are from Sassy Studio's

i finished it off with a couple of shiny corner die cuts.
and there you have my inspired by a film make.

hope you come and play along x

hello beautiful people of blog land
its a new challenge fortnight at

That craft place

the theme is
Anything goes

my offering is an altered bottle
i had been to the walpaper shop, and found the perfect paper, so brought home a sample to show hubby, it met with approval so off i went and bought said paper and some paint to match.
well i had this lovely but very sadly empty Amaretto bottle.
well whats a girl to do with a lovely shaped bottle, some wallpaper samples and a slap of paint!

well make a bit of pretty for the new room of course! lol

i started by painting the bottle with a couple of coats of gesso, then a coat of the bedroom paint, finished off with a quick coat of gesso wiped over with tissue to reveal the colour .
then  i added images from the paper sample, sticking them to the bottle with deco mache.

i had some rolled roses i had made, some foam roses and some little china roses i thought went well together, the lace is an applique cut from a wedding dress, i added this to the bottom and around the neck of the bottle.

the back of the bottle was also decorated with the paper , then the flowers where added on the bottom and a couple to the neck.
if you look closely at the first image you can just about see the sprinkling of tiny gems randomly stuck over the bottle
i dont think one bottle on its own will look too good do you ;)
(hey its a valid excuse for more amaretto )

now its over to you come join in the fun after all with the anything goes theme you can play to your hearts content x
