Morning all you lovely peeps, today i have a new challenge for you from

and a cool theme this one
Inspired by a Movie

this is inspired by one of my fave movies...
can you guess?

OK ill tell its Practical magic lol
the words around the edge of the top mat layer are the true love spell she makes up in the movie, the flowers are like the ones she uses in the spell, and the quote is to do with her aunts though I'm not sure it is strictly from the film i do have a picture someplace of them with this quote on.
Blanch is obvious really and of course she is holding a potion!
Then of course i had to cover it in tiny silver and purple gems to add that touch of magic :)

hope you like it guys

so whats your Favourite movie?

Christmas on the dark side with Visible Image and some super exciting news

Hi all
Well first of my dt  post for
  Visible Image
I really had fun with this, we have all seen the cute Santas so me being me had to take a detour down to creepy street for a look at Christmas on the dark side.

First I stamped coloured and cut out Father Christmas
He is  done in shades of Grey, I gave him big eyes with glossy accents
Then I moved onto making a sleigh, (there are lots of free templates on Google) I found a shape I liked sized it in my graphics program and printed it out, cut it out and using it to draw around I cut out 2 of them, I then embossed these with the crackle from the Time after Time set, then I took a length of card and used it to make the base of the sleigh.

Next came the real fun part, I made lots of little boxes, to fill the sleigh, and then added some creepy little gifts, some skeleton  gingerbread men, a crow, some evil liquorice candy canes, a voodoo doll, tomahawk and a couple of headless teddies lol, oh and a skull.
Next I pimped up the sleigh using various stamp sets, some trim and some chain.
I hope you like this as much as I liked making it.

the theme is
Show us some Snow

i went over this with a snowflake stamp from the Enchanting snowflake set by Visible image.
i used clear embossing powder to give the crystal snowflake feel.
then i went over the tree with dries white glue and added cosmic shimmer iced crystal flakes i got from

the image is holiday aurora honey from Sassy studios, she is coloured with pro markers then fussy cut and added to card with sticky foam pads.
and finally i have stamped the greeting using the seasons greetings stamp from the
Vintage Christmas Trio set again from Visible image.

i quite like the faerie tale feel of this one, hope you do too .

Wednesday, 20 November 2013

Hi guys its me with my Dt post for
and its not Saturday LOL
my day has changed to Wednesdays so here it is a little midweek inspiration for your Christmas crafts

i have used the
to make this super pretty Christmas tree

first i made a cone using tracing paper, then i stamped  and embossed lots and lots of snowflakes using all 4 sizes once embossed i would recommend you give each one a single coat of acrylic medium or modge podge to seal because the next step can cause the embossing to crackle off, OK so once you have cut them all out as close to the design as possible, just take each one and scrunch it up in your hand, i know it goes against everything to take a perfect stamped embossed image and screw it up lol, but its worth it i promise.
then starting with the biggest size simply layer the snowflakes up and around the cone, i just used the collall quick dry tacky glue, works like a dream.
then i draped a ribbon to which beads had been attached and a few bows round and round like a garland.
the finishing touch is where the magic happens

I bought some battery operated tealight candles, and placed the cone over the top
as this whole thing is made from tracing paper you get a wonderful translucent light shinning through, so after dark it looks beautiful

i hope you like this and will give it a go

Visible Image Edward is Imortal

hi guys, well its Saturday and you all know what that means

today's make is a card using the fab Edward is Immortal set , i of course used Mr spooky himself :)
the bats & the branch all from the set

so the base is a black card layered with a nice blue paper, then i have added a panel of brown paper &a couple of smaller panels in lighter shades of blue and brown.
on the blue i used the branch in black verserfine ink, and on the brown i used the bats, stamping first in second gen stamp to give the faded effect then just straight stamping to add the darker bats giving a bit of depth, i used the same 2 brown papers to make a panel for the sentiment. once stamped it was stuck down.
Edward was stamped and coloured, fussy cut and placed on the card. i stamped some extra bats onto another piece of card and covered them in glossy accents once dry i cut them out and added to the card.

and there you have it,can you Imagine a vampire?

hi guys
no challenge post today lol, just for a change i thought i would show you a canvas i did for my sister, as we all know we hate having our photo taken i thought this would be nice because its of my sister her grandson and my mum and they both like it !

i think it is a beautiful picture they all look so happy , anyway here it is

its a 12 x 12 canvas painted pale pink then a 12 x 12 paper ripped along the edges has been glued down, next i chose there to place the picture, then arranged all the pieces, some net and lace and grunge board keys and swirls, buttons, bottle top a cameo and a tiny birdcage
then i painted it in a mushroom colour to match her room, to add interest i splattered white all over too.
then i added bling and lots of flowers, in the top photo you can see the details better, but i took this before i added the final touch, a little ribbon banner cut from a strip of ribbon from That craft place, i also got most of the flowers from there,.

isn't it a lovely sentiment i thought it fit the picture perfectly

and this it the finished canvas , the lighting on the pic is terrible, so please forgive it i just wanted to show the whole thing complete with sentiment.

so there you go , something a little different from my usual posts for challenges
hope you like ti
xx

Sunday, 3 November 2013

Hello again lovely peeps

today i bring you a new challenge at
with the theme of
Add some Leaves

i have 2 cards for you because I'm covering a teamie

so here is the first

he is called scarecrow and friends from QKR Stampede

first i printed and coloured him , then thinking along the lines of hes got a bag of corn, i found an image of a cornfield, looking through google images the real photos of cornfields didn't quite fit, then i found this one of a screen shot from a game , the style just seemed right for him and his friends, :)
i mounted it onto a  soft orange, and went around the edge with black marker to just give a bit of interest.
i found some brown gingham ribbon and lay a strip across the bottom, added a beaded twig which reminded me of corn , tied a knot with the gingham on the stalk and then fussy cut and added the image.

and the second

this image is the beautiful Rosalee from Delicious Doodles

for this one i found some really pretty vintage papers, cut to size and layered onto a creamy/beige paper with a very muted pattern, the i went over all the edges with a pro marker using a fine tip and did cross stitches all around each piece.
the image was once again coloured with pro markers and fussy cut, then mounted with sticky pads onto the oval mat, i then found some leaves in My craft Studio printed them out in a couple of sizes and fussy cut, then arranged on the card and finished with a couple of flowers.

so there you have my 2 cards i hope they give you a bit of inspiration and you come play along
this weeks sponsors this week are

Delicious Doodles offering 4 images from the store
QKR Stampede offering 5 images from their store
Lacey Sunshine offering 3 images from their store
&
Di's Digi Downloads offering a $12 gift certificate

Snowman jack comes to visit , Visible image stamps

Happy Saturday !
and today's make is a lovely Christmas tree hanger using

isn't he adorable!
i started by stamping him onto card, then i covered him in dries clear glue and glamour dust
next i took some paper clay, rolled it out and stamped all the bits i wanted like his arms scarf, buttons and eyebrows, then left them to dry out ( make sure you squish the bits a little because they will shrink up as they dry, its not much and once you stick them to the card base you can trim any bit that poke out).
once dry i used pro markers to colour each bit then stuck them on with collall tacky glue.
i stamped his hat again onto card and coloured with pro markers, then i shaped it a bit and added the hanging cord behind the had so it is sandwiched between the base and top hat.

this shows a little of the dimension

to finish i covered the back in some lovely Christmas paper

hope you like it guys and have a go yourself, you could make a whole set as a little gift for someone .

November challenge with Visible Image

morning everyone
its a brand new month and a brand new challnenge at
and we have a fantastic theme of

ok so i went with the idea of a winters ball, moonlight on sparkly snow and fairy lights in the trees, and of course the glittery party gown

i have used Emma, Large Winter tree, and the simply stunning verse
the background was done with Distress inks, and just masking off the moon and the hills, then blending hte inks over the card with sponge. then ghost stamping a couple of trees to give a bit of depth and then one just stamped behind the masked off hill.
the gems and glitter where added and while they dryed i stamped coloured and cut out Emma made her a little black net wrap and glittered her gown and tiara, then off she went to the ball :)
finaly the verse was stamped and there you have it a lovely sparkly card .
