Morning guys
this week i played with The Sewing Room , i love this stamps set you get s many girly stamps and its perfect for vintage designs, and i went all out vintage loved playing.

OK so here is my make

first i cut a tag shape and covered with some beautiful paper from the Prima Tea Thyme paper stack which i got from That craft place, then i stamped the bodyform from the sewing set twice, the second one i cut the body piece out and covered with more paper this time from the prima Pixie Glen stack, and went around the edges a tiny bit with Brushed corduroy distress ink to add definition.
Then back to the tag and i stamped all over with the beautiful Corset Stamp from Visible Image, next i fussy cot some roses from another sheet in the Tea Thyme stack ,after adding a strip of paper from the Pixxi Glen stack and some pretty lace, i added the roses around the edges of the tag and around the paper strip and lace.to finish the actual tag i stamped the button hole from the sewing set at the top and cut out the hole with a scalpel and put some lace through.

back to the bodyform i layered the piece covered in the paper over the whole stamped image which i had covered in glossy accents and finished it off with some lace and a tiny hand made flower.
the tiny hanging tags i cut from the pixie glen stack and stamped with sentiments from the sewing set, each one was punched with the cropodile and an eyelet added, then some jump rings to hand them from the main tag, to complete it the bodyform , a vintage button in the shape of a cherub, and a strip of bling was all added .

i love the vintage girly feel of this piece.

i am entering this in the following challenges

hey guys
its time for a new challenge at Delicious Doodles and its a lovely theme this week , ' Anything Floral '
and we all love our flowers don't we.

here is my dt inspiration for you, a lovely bouquet of Teri's beautiful flowers
i have used  floral Elegance 1 & 2 and floral elegance 3 wild rose.
1&2 simply printed out a couple times in different sizes, then the wild rose printed 3 times in the same size and decoupaged.
they are coloured in a really really soft pink. and of course a nice green for the leaves.
once coloured and cut, i went into My Craft Studio and found a pretty backing paper, used the digital punch in the program to punch out the corners and added a lovely pink behind .
then i arranged the flowers on the card layering some flat some with sticky pads to give depth.
the i finished with a big cream satin bow, really feminine i think.

and now its over to you....

hi guys
not really sure how i go about blogging this one so ill just go for it lol
this is my card for the delicious doodles dt entered into the
never done one of these before so all new to me,
OK so the theme was Old & Grey and this is what i came up with

i was thinking of old miss haversham, well she was old and grey lol
first i used the wonderful Graveyard digi, which i coloured in shades of cool grey, i also printed and re sized just the cross tomb stone to which i added the word forever, i coloured the Gothic bride in greys , then i printed her twice onto tissue paper, i cut one to be the back of her, and another to be layered over the front, so you get the effect of a veil because you can see through it, i then painted this with sparkling h20 to give a nice shimmer, once she was all cut and assembled i added her headdress which i coloured with pro markers then faded out with a blender pen to age it.
i stuck her down, then coloured cut and added the tomb stone, then i printed coloured and cut the Loves Faded memory, after adding some black trim around the edge a some grey flat back pearls i added the Loves faded memory in the foreground.
the to give the real aged affect i used glue to highlight the folds of her veil & dress , a little on the roses and the skull she is holding then covered it all in incense dust to give her the old look, ( also smells quite nice ).
and there you have it my take on old and grey :)

OK so details
the voting starts Wednesday the 28th august, and voting ends on the 30th august, so please pop over to the new smeared ink blog and cast your vote for your fave team,

wish us luck

Visible Image new Character Launch 24th august 2013

Hello peeps. hope your all well.
Well today for my Visible Image Post, i have a wonderful Launch for you,3new sets of character stamps , yes 3!
how cool is that and  you are just going to love them, i am really not sure i have done them justice, but if you pop on over to the Visible Image blog you will get lots of fab inspiration from the other Dt members who have done an amazing job.

first up is

Isn't he fab...

and her is my card showing some of the stamps in his set, i chose a caramel brown card as a base, and layered some cute cowboy theme paper i bought a few weeks back, i made a sheriffs badge as a matt for Clayton ,stamped 3 bullet holes in the top corner and cut out the centres to show the caramel card through the paper, i then coloured and shaded inside the holes to give the illusion of depth, the bullet i stamped several times on silver mirri, and then cut out and piled up next to his feet, to complete the card, i made a sign with the wood plank, hung it from some chain, and added the aim high sentiment, and to complete i added the become a legend sentiment along the bottom.

next we have

how pretty is she seriously!

i love her so much, and her dream catcher is adorable.
OK so you only get the smaller size stamp in the set , so me being me i come up with the idea of making a big dream catcher lol, sadly i didn't have any acetate left or i think this would have worked a lot better, but you get the idea, so i stamped the small one and scanned it into my graphics program, enlarged it and printed it out onto so pattern paper that is covered  in the word believe,i then stuck it down onto some card and left to dry, once dry i got busy wit the stickles! and of course added some bling,i then went around the edge with this vibrant pink fru fru stuff, i did the same with the 3 small ones, only i re sized the paper and after printing i stamped directly onto it.
then came the tricky part, i cut the feathers out and using cotton and seed beads i sewed them to hang on the bottom of the 3 small once, then these were added to the large one with bigger beads, finally i added Tala and the word believe from the stamps set, oh and of course a hanging ribbon. i also covered all the backs with the same paper and edged with distress ink.

and last but defiantly not least is

i have to admit i did have so much fun doing this one,( I'm such a kid)

i made the wig wham frame from cut down kebab sticks, i then found a pic of the inside of a wig wham and after printing it i shaped and cut to fit inside, the frame, next i covered the frame with different sizes of ripped paper, edging all the ripped edges with distress ink then stamped all over with the vulture stamp from the set.
i used some different papers to make rugs as the flooring, then i added Silverheels , after stamping colouring and cutting out. to the other side is his tomahawk also from the set , and inside i made a quiver stamped with a design from the Tala set, stamped and cut out arrows , added some to the quiver and lay some on the floor and finishes by stamping the bow and adding to the inside , the bow and arrows are from the Tala set.

and there you go, didn't i sat they where fabulous sets!

so go grab yours and have some fun with these super character stamps from Visible Image

Hi guys
time for a new challenge at Delicious Doodles, did you play along with last weeks Christmas in august?
well this weeks its Birds of a Feather.
i used Fern the forest fairy, shes so pretty and she is holding a bird....

i went with quite dark greens to represent the forest, the frame was cut on my craft robo, coloured then embossed with a fancy lace stamp, and then burnished with gilding w\ax in copper.
the image is coloured in pro markers, the papers are from My Craft studio and changed to match the colour i wanted, the Base is mounted onto a black card , i used black soot distress ink on the edges and a fancy swirly stamp in black, i also went over randomly with a pretty bird stamp in brown and then again in black, then i rubbed some of the copper gilding wax over the Dollie and tucked it behind the image,i also added lace and some cream trim.
i made some flowers and used some rose trim, added a pearl spray and some feathers.

so now its your turn, come and play along and show us your Birds of a Feather creations

hugs xx

Visible Image, Beauty is Art stamp set

hey guys , happy Saturday
Visible Image day :):)

this weeks card is a bit umm how can i describe it, its not quite clean and simple, and defiantly not my usual grungy shabby ott style lol, maybe you would describe it as arty?

who knows, but here it is make of it what you will ....

this really is a beautiful stamps set, called Beauty is Art, i have gone for a kind of roman villa wall type of thing..( well that's what i was thinking of anyway lol.

i decided to play with my pastels this week, (iv never really been good with them).. so the base card was covered with a soft soft peach pastel. then using a Brown i added veins to resemble marble.
i used worn lipstick distress ink for the trim and words , but i did second gen stamping , to just ink and stamp it was way too pink, so i inked stamped on scrap paper then inked on the card, giving the effect of worn paintwork. the image was stamped in the same way, then using the pastels and my fingers to blend i coloured up the body, which i then cut out and mounted on the card.

i kinda like the effect , and have to say the photo doesn't show too well how pretty the colours are.

i hope you like it, I'm still not sure lol

don't forget you can still join in this months challenge anything goes, all the details and some fab dt inspiration are on the VisibleImage Blog.

hi guys
Really really late post for this, I'm sorry Teri :/

but its a cool challenge guys and you should come play along with  Delicious Doodles & Christmas in August!
this week i started making a card and from one moment to the next my day went crazy, i didn't get back to it till very late last night, i sat and cut it all out  having printed it earlier before the crazy began, layered it all out as i do before i stick it down and thought nope that's all wrong, so went off and redesigned printed it all off and cut again, layed it out and nooo i hated it ,lol it was 1am at this point and i just could not face it again so off to bed i go, just as i am dropping off to sleep an idea comes into my weary brain!
so up early today, see hubby off to work, sort the cats , tidy the house, run to the doctors then back to get the card done.

so it is completely different from the original holly fairy i was originally going to do, all girly and flowery with berries and glitter lol, but i have to admit i love how this one came out

the ribbon looks darker in the pic than it really is

i started with silver holographic mirri, and layers a wonderful swirly snow fall paper , from My Craft Studio, which i had darkened a little in the graphics program to the size i wanted, the images i used are Emo Christmas & Skully Xmas Wreath and were printed to size , coloured and fussy cut,( those twigs on the wreath took an age lol).
i poked the girl through the centre of the wreath positioned her and using a little glue on the underside stuck her down. once dry i added sticky pads to the underside and placed on the card leaving space at the top for the ribbon. to finish i used glamour dust and gems to bling it up, after all you have to have a bit of bling at Christmas :)

so come on and have a go, you can to traditional or like me go alternative.

happy crafting xx
