hi everyone,
i have some inspiration for you today (at least i hope it inspires you)
first up is a bag charm that should have gone live on tuesday but for some reason didnt so i thought id pop it on here for you to see :)
this is not normaly something i play with much , but i have a gorgeous bag that i love and my zipper thingy broke so i made this dangly to clip on the zip so i would be able to open and close it easy .

i chose charms and beads that would match the colours on the bag and added to a length of chain, then finished with a lobster claw clasp

and second is a Game of Thrones inspired 8 x 8 wall hanging
the wonderful image is by Kelly Rhodes for
isnt it just a stunner! and perfect for any Game of thrones fan
ok so first i went wandering around google images and found a map of the Dothraki sea, i sixed printed and fussy cut around the edge and cut out the rivers because the background was black, not what i wanted lol, i then matt this onto a beautiful turquoise glazed paper, and then this was matt onto a black base.
The mother and her Dragons was printed and coloured in spectrum noir pens, and then i gave the dragons a wash of sparkling h20s in the appropriate colour, which due to my pants photography skills doesnt show up in the pic :/
next i found an english / Dothraki dictionary and did the title, which i then cut on the Craft robo
( it actually reads mother of Dragons), and to complete the piece i watched the clip of Daerio giving Daneries flowers on the road to Meereen and explains them to her, the blue dusk rose, ladies lace and Harpies gold.
i tried to recreate them as close as i could , and added to complete the picture.

what do you think ... yeah im a geek i know lol

hugs x

  1. I love your bag charm Kay, the colours are fabulous. The wall hanging is gorgeous and the image looks fantastic. I know nothing about Game of Thrones but I'm impressed with your 'geeky' research xx
